On Line certifications ???

My swimming and running coach is from Europe but on the international circuit like I am. He has done an IronMan and honestly... this guy is just a great coach. When I suggested that he should really get some credentials behind him, he conceded that I was right. I am not sure of his European options and he said he would research it, but I wondered if you knew of any reputable certifications that don't require face time. I'll search on my own, but if you can suggest any - most probably for Personal Training, that can be done on-line, I would really appreciate it. Of course, I have mixed emotions about it - I do feel that mentors are really important and you can't beat the atmosphere of an intellectually charged classroom, but sometimes this option isn't open to everyone.... open to suggestions..
