COACHING OFF THE BIKE: HOW AND WHY
As fitness professionals, we have the option of instructing a Spinning® ride by physically modeling technique and form and sweating along with the participants, or by taking the role of a coach and directing the ride from the floor. Both have benefits, but when we coach from the floor, we connect with the clients on a deeper level, creating a longer-lasting impact. Read on to learn more about how to effectively coach on the floor from Spinning Master Instructor Sabrina Fairchild.

HYDRATION FOR SPORTS PERFORMANCE
The human body is more than just bones and muscles—it is made of 45–70% water depending on body composition, gender and age. Daily intake of water is extremely important, but often neglected as many people do not pay attention to the amount of water they consume. Read on to learn how to maintaining good hydration for optimal performance from Spinning® Master Instructor Polona Gosar Rankovic.

ANNOUNCING: FATHER'S DAY FACEBOOK CONTEST WINNER!
We asked the Spinning® community on Facebook to tell us why their father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend, etc. deserved to win a Spinner® PACE bike for Father's Day and we received some amazing stories! Congratulations to Kendall and Carly Murphree who have won a Spinner PACE bike for their father! This is what they wrote:

Kendall: "My father is the bravest man I know. He survived having a brain tumor, and although it was a miracle he was alive, repercussions from the high doses of steroids he was using to keep his brain from swelling have occurred. He has developed necrosis in both of his hips, which means they will both have to be replaced. He would benefit greatly from having this bike in order to rehabilitate himself from the extenuating circumstances he has so amazingly overcome. I love my dad and it would mean the world to me if I could do something, if anything, to give back to him because of all he's given me."

Carly: "My daddy is a super dad. He is 52, has cheated death (survived a brain tumor) and has provided for me, my mom, and my sister, since birth. He works out religiously. We recently found out he has to get both of his hips replaced and will be having the procedure performed next week and this is something he could recover on. He has subtly expressed his want/need to workout after having both of his hips replaced.. He never talks about wanting much so I just think that maybe if I win him this bike, Ill be on the path to giving a little back to my dad, after everything he has done for us."

Kendall and Carly, please contact jzinchuk@maddogg.com to claim your prize. Thank you to all who entered and happy Father's Day to all the amazing fathers!
