Train Hard… And Smart: Understanding the Five Spinning Energy Zones™

The first step in helping your students reach their fitness goals is creating a base of aerobic fitness, a process known as aerobic base building. As a Spinning® instructor, it's important to understand this training concept and to prepare your Spinning classes accordingly. To help you balance the application of aerobic and anaerobic exercise, the Spinning® program divides workout formats into five categories called Energy Zones™. The American Heart Association works every day to fund research and fight this killer so more people can be saved. But they need our help. Together we can make a difference. This February, celebrate heart month and join the mission of the American Heart Association to raise awareness, raise funds and rally support to fight this silent killer. 

How we can Make It Our Mission to fight heart disease among men and women:

• Help raise funds through donations and fundraisers for lifesaving educational programs and the development of new treatments to fight heart disease.
• Make your organization or group aware of heart disease, its impact on men and women and how we can fight back.
• Love our hearts by being physically active, eating a heart-healthy diet and being educated about heart disease and its risk factors.
• Share this information with 5 men and women and we can help end heart disease in our lifetime.
